How to delete your Facebook search history

https://youtu.be/ATW6dWy9blM

Facebook keeps a record of everything you search for on its Web site. Check out this How To guide for cleaning up the list, or just limiting what information Facebook is storing about you.
Tech BD

Each time you look for a friend, business, or personality on Facebook, it gets saved to your search history. Supposedly, this makes it easier for you to find what you were looking for later without much work. Unfortunately, the search history might be cluttered with queries that don't require quick access -- like someone you've already become friends with, a brand you're already following.
If you want to limit some of the information Facebook is keeping about you, or just tidy up the list, it's just a few clicks away. Here's how to get started:
Step 1: Log Into Your Facebook Account,Click on the Settings cog in the top-right corner. Choose the Activity Log option from the menu.
Tech BD
Step 2: You will see all of your recent Facebook activity. Under Photos, Likes, and Comments in the left side menu bar, click More, then choose Search.
Tech BD

Tech BD
Step 3: All of your search history, provided you haven't deleted it before, will appear. Individual searches can be removed by clicking the block icon and then Remove. If you want to clear all of it, click on the Clear Searches link at the top.

What do you think about the Search history feature? Do you think Facebook should save all of your search queries? Have you ever found the search history helpful to revisit something you were looking for in the past?

How to Remove the Get Windows 10 Icon in Windows

But the thing with this new taskbar icon is that it won’t go away even after reserving the free upgrade. So, if you want to get rid of this new icon and save some space on your taskbar, here is how to do it.
get-windows10-icon
Note: before you remove the icon or the entire program, make sure that you have reserved your free upgrade.
Of course, the first place to look for the instructions is the Microsoft knowledge base. Sure enough, the suggested way to remove the “Get Windows 10” icon is to hide it from plain sight. To do that, click on the “Show hidden icons” icon and select the option “Customize.”
get-windows10-icon-customize
The above action will open the “Notification Area Icons” window. Here find the “GWX” icon and select the option “Hide icon and notifications” from the drop-down menu under the Behaviours section.

From this point forward, the “Get Windows 10” icon will be hidden for good.
If you want to completely remove the icon from your system, then the best way would be to uninstall it. In caseyou don’t know, the “Get Windows 10” notification was installed in the form of a recommended update (KB3035583). So, if you uninstall the update, you can completely remove the icon from the taskbar.
To do that, search for “Windows Update” in the start menu and click on it. Alternatively, you can also access the Windows update from the Control Panel.
get-windows10-icon-start-windows-update
Once the Windows Update window has been opened, click on the “Installed Updates” link on the left sidebar.
get-windows10-icon-installed-updates
Now, search for the “KB3035583” update using the integrated search feature. This action will fish out the update that is responsible for the Upgrade notification icon.
get-windows10-icon-search-update
Now, right click on the update and select the option “Uninstall” to uninstall the update.
get-windows10-icon-uninstall-update
Just restart the system and you are good to go.
In case you are wondering, the “Get Windows 10” upgrade program will launch at system startup using a scheduled task. In fact, if you open up the Task Scheduler app and navigate to “Task Scheduler Library ->Microsoft -> Windows -> Setup,” you will find the two folders “gwx” and “GWXTriggers” that are responsible for the scheduler task.
get-windows10-icon-scheduled-tasks
But you cannot disable or delete the tasks, as they are protected by the system. We need to delete the relevant files and folders from the Windows File Explorer.
So, open the File Explorer using the shortcut “Win + E” and navigate to the “C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows\Setup” folder. You may receive a warning message regarding the permissions; just hit the “Continue” button.
get-windows10-icon-task-folders
Once you are in there, just delete both the “gwx” and “GWXTrigger” folders. If you face any problems with the ownership, then you need to take ownership of both folders. As easy as it is, only follow this method if you fail in the other two methods
It is that simple to remove the Get Windows 10 icon both temporarily and permanently.
Hopefully that helps, and do comment below sharing your thoughts and experiences about the above procedure to remove the Get Windows 10 icon.

How to Undo Sending an Email in Gmail

1. Head over to the Gmail website and get yourself logged in.
2. When your inbox loads up, click on the gear icon located in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, select the “Settings” option to be taken to the Settings panel for your Gmail account.
undogmail-settings
3. Once in Settings, click on the “General” tab on the top if you are not already there. There should be a section titled “Undo Send” where the undo send feature toggle is located.
Check the box that says “Enable Undo Send” to enable the feature in your account.
You now need to specify the cancellation period. This is the duration for which the email will not be sent, giving you the option to undo sending it. Click on the drop-down menu and choose your time period in seconds. I’d recommend choosing ten seconds, as I think it is enough time for you to make a decision whether to send the email or not.

4. Scroll all the way down and click on “Save Changes.”
5. It is time to test the feature that you just enabled. Create a new email by clicking on the “Compose” button.
undogmail-compose
6. Compose your email and when done, click the “Send” button.
undogmail-testemail
7. As soon as you press the Send button, you will see an option on your screen saying “Undo.” Click on it so that your email will not be sent.
undogmail-undo
8. Gmail will send you back to the compose email window for you to make any changes to the email or to simply discard it.
The feature will remain enabled as long as you do not manually turn it off from the Settings panel. Disabling it is as easy as enabling it. You just need to visit the settings panel and uncheck the box for the feature, and it will be disabled.

How to Turn Windows 10 into a WiFi Hotspot

Windows 10 allows you to start a Wi-Fi hotspot on your computer, allowing you to share your wireless connection with several devices. This could be a useful thing if you are restricted to just one device per person on the Wi-Fi network or perhaps if you have only one password.

This method does not require you to download any third-party application. You can easily set up a Wi-Fi hotspot using the built-in tools in Windows.
First, you need to open the command prompt with administrator privileges. Press the “Windows + X” key on yourkeyboard and select “Command Prompt (Admin)” from the pop-up menu.
win-10-hotspot-cmp-admin
Now we will create the hotspot. Simply enter the following command and press the Enter key:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=maketecheasier key=password
win10-hotspot-created
The SSID is the name of the WiFi connection and can be changed to anything you want. The KEY is the password and can be changed, also but bear in mind that it has to be at least eight characters.
Next you need to start the following command to start the WiFi hotspot:
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
win10-hotspot-start
Your WiFi hotspot should be activated and usable. You can check its status in the network and sharing center of your control panel.
win10-hotspot-start-2
You can now connect your devices to the hotspot and use the same WiFi connection without using third-party tools.
You can turn off the hotspot when not in use with the following command:
netsh wlan stop hostednetwork
If you’re not a fan of the above method, there are several applications that you can download and use to share your WiFi connection with other devices.
One of the more popular ones is Connectify Hotspot. Its free version basically does the same thing with the Command Prompt method, but you can turn your computer to a wired router or WiFi repeater with a subscription.
win10-hotspot-connectify
Once the application is installed, click the “Try it out” button to start using the tool. Your hotspot will be assigned a default name and password, but you can change this. Keep in mind that with the free version your hotspot name must start with “Connectify.” For example: “Connectify-me” or “Connectify-mte.”
Make sure to choose the correct Internet connection to share and set your password. Once done, you can start the hotspot by clicking the “Start Hotspot” button.
Now you can connect any other device to your Connectify Hotspot as you would with any other WiFi hotspot.
Let us know your preferred method of creating a WiFi hotspot on your Windows PC. If you have any alternatives to Connectify, don’t forget to share them in the comments section below.
